Labor Day Paragraph

Most of my Labor Day weekend was spent working at Outback Steakhouse.  I have two positions at my work, serving tables and bartending.  My primary position this weekend was bartending.  I worked a ten hour shift on Sunday.  This weekend we were a little busier because of the holiday, so I had to stay longer than usual.  At the time I was upset, but after seeing how much money I made I felt better about it.  After the long days at Outback, I kicked back and enjoyed the long weekend.

Introduction to me

Hi, my name is Caleb Erickson.  I was born here in La Crosse 21 years ago.  I have two older half-siblings named Jeremy and Shanna.  Jeremy is ten years older than me while Shanna is eight.  We are very close despite the age differences.  Last year the three of us went on a trip to Mexico without our parents.  I was 20 years old, but fortunately for me the drinking age is 18 there.  We all made it home unscathed with “some” memories.
In 2007, I graduated from Onalaska High School.  I played basketball and tennis all four years while attending there.  This summer I played in an adult tennis league to continue my interest.  As far as basketball goes, I plan on playing intramurals this fall at Western.  I also was involved in show choir from middle school through high school.  We were national champions my junior year.  The competition was held at the Epcot Center at Disney World.  It was a very unique experience being in such a fun and exciting place with many of my friends.  My senior year in show choir I had the privilege of singing a solo.  Singing is my favorite pastime; whether I’m walking to class or serving a table at work.  I have no shame in singing anywhere.
During the winter months in Wisconsin I enjoy snowboarding.  I started it up a few years ago with my brother.  We went to Colorado two years ago and we had a blast. We are currently planning a trip to go back this spring break.  Most Mondays and Thursdays during the winter you can find me at Mt. La Crosse.
Another pastime I love is watching movies and quoting all that I can.  One-liners are a common occurrence in my families’ conversations.  All of the remaining time I have is solely devoted to Outback Steakhouse.  I must do so in order to pay for all of my expensive pastimes listed above.
As I look to the future I am exited to learn more about the fields in marketing and business.  This is a change from what I originally thought I would be doing.  Because my aptitude was very high in mathematics I was planning on becoming a math teacher.  However, as I matured I came to understand my real potential would be in business.  I feel I can be successful in this industry.
